Amy Hsin

Amy Hsin is an associate professor of sociology at Queens College, City University of New York and faculty affiliate at the CUNY Institute for Demographic Research. Her work focuses on inequality, education, and immigration. She holds a Ph.D. in sociology from UCLA and an M.A. and B.A. in economics from NYU. She has received funding from the William T. Grant Foundation and the MacArthur Foundation. In addition to academic publications, Amy’s work has been featured in Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, The Economist, and NPR. She is a member of the Scholars Strategy Network, an organization that disseminates research to improve policy and enhance democracy.
