Danielle Pisano

Danielle Pisano is a crew operations engineer at SpaceX—the company dreamed up by Elon Musk to establish humankind as a spacefaring civilization. She works directly with astronauts to design spacecraft displays and serves as a mission operator for Dragon flights, sitting on console in the mission control room to help navigate Dragon on its journey to the International Space Station. She has also worked at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory as a guidance, navigation, and control engineer for the air and missile defense department. She received a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering in 2007 and a master’s in aerospace engineering in 2010. Danielle is also a certified Reiki master and serves as a yoga instructor twice a week.
