Scott Alan Metzger

Scott Alan Metzger (Ph.D., Michigan State University, 2006) is an associate professor of social studies education in the College of Education at Penn State University. His research focuses on how youth, teachers, and the public think about and use the past, particularly involving historically oriented media including film, television, and video games. He is co-author of Teaching History with Film: Strategies for Secondary Social Studies (Routledge, 2010) and lead editor of the International Handbook of History Teaching and Learning (Wiley, forthcoming).
