The people at Twitter have analyzed the 25 billion Tweets from 2010 to come up with this list of the "top trends" of the year.

People cared about technology trends, the World Cup, and some pop culture events, but also the big humanitarian and environmental stories.</p><p> "Pulpo Paul," by the way, is the Spanish name for <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_the_Octopus">Paul the Octopus</a>, the World Cup match-predicting cephalopod.</p><br/>
