I might be in the minority here, but I don’t mind Valentine’s Day. Whether I’m celebrating solo, with a partner, or with a group of friends at a bar, I’m appreciative of the excuse to have a novelty cocktail and the national reminder to say “I love you” to Mom and Dad.
Because regardless of what relationship status I check off on my Facebook page, Valentine’s Day is a good enough reason for me to do something for the people I care about. And a good enough reason to grab some tools and try new DIY projects.
