How far do you go to get to know the people you serve? In order to have real impact, you need to truly understand the people you want to help. Getting rooted in the public sphere requires extra effort to be intentional and invested in your community. To foster growth and development, you have to take understanding to a deeper level and get connected to your community, whether it means a local hospital where you volunteer, a school club, or your city.
