The people behind Cards Against Humanity have done it again. Only this time they’ve taken the nihilistic sensibilities that offered holiday “gifts” such as a purposeless hole, the promise of a destroyed Picasso painting, and … absolutely nothing and used their creativity toward a more political end this winter.
In a transparent effort to both thwart Donald Trump’s xenophobic border wall and also “stay relevant in 2018,” the manufacturers of the game have announced their holiday 2017 series of stunts entitled Cards Against Humanity Saves America.

According to the Cards Against Humanity Saves America website, Trump supporters may be less than thrilled with the dividends their $15 donation to the company/cause yields.
While participants are in store for six Trump-unfriendly surprises with their gift of $15, it seems the company has leaked the first one to build some word-of-mouth and get people interested. The company states under the “Day One Preview”:

STOPS THE WALLDonald Trump is a preposterous golem who is afraid of Mexicans. He is so afraid that he wants to build a twenty-billion dollar wall that everyone knows will accomplish nothing. So we’ve purchased a plot of vacant land on the border and retained a law firm specializing in eminent domain to make it as time-consuming and expensive as possible for the wall to get built.
On Day 1, all Cards Against Humanity Saves America recipients will get an illustrated map of the land, a certificate of our promise to fight the wall, some new cards, and a few other surprises.”
Anyone familiar with the game itself could probably surmise that the people behind it aren’t averse to controversy; they thrive on it. In fact, according to the counter on their website, Cards Against Humanity Saves America sold out in a matter of hours.
It seems that while Cards Against Humanity might be revealing their own actual humanity in this somewhat socially responsible endeavor, they certainly haven’t lost their edge when confronted with hypothetical questions that they made up themselves.
