Infographic: Where Are the Best (and Worst) Countries to Be a Child?

It turns out that some economically advanced countries (ours, for example) aren't doing a very good job of taking care of the kids.

A child's quality of life depends on many dimensions of material, social, and emotional satisfaction. Is he or she being fed? Educated? Loved? Valued? A UNICEF study set out to assess the well-being of children and adolescents among industrialized OECD nations by using six elements that paint a picture of how each country protects and nurtures its youth's future. What it finds is that not all economically advanced nations are able to effectively provide for the vital needs of their young.
