Nerds Rule: Watch This Kid Destroy the Dubious Physics of "My Little Pony" Stephen Magnet's "My Little Pony" Assignment Is Hilarious and Educational

Who knew an AP physics project about some obscure cartoon could be so damn entertaining?

It's not often that I miss high school, and it's even rarer that I miss AP physics class, but Los Angeles teenager Stephen Magnet has made me nostalgic for both with his latest YouTube video.

For an assignment in which students were to explain the good or bad physics of a film or television show, Magnet (aka beatledude64) chose his favorite animated series, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. In less than 10 minutes, Magnet dissects impossibilities ranging from the Sonic Rainboom—"She is accelerating too fast"—to the See-Saw Launch, which can't actually happen according to the law of conservation of momentum. I recommend taking time to watch the whole thing, not only for a brief physics lesson, but to also remember how much fun school could be.

Oh, and for the record, Magnet got an A+ on this project.
