They did it in celebration of No Diet Day

Food has become a hyper-charged issue in American society. Trans-fat bans, fad diets, Foodies, the debate over what’s really organic, and society’s strict beauty standards have everyone criticizing each other’s diets. And with food being such an incredibly personal thing, it’s time that everyone kept their thoughts to themselves and stopped asking “Are you going to eat that?”

That’s why on May 6th, in celebration of national No Diet Day, six “superSHE-roes” known as the Succulent Six got together for a photo shoot. The goal was to further their mission to stop the food fight and end weight discrimination, size bias, and fat phobia. Photographer Maxwell Lander snapped hilarious shots of the girls indulging in all of their favorite foods: donuts, cookies, cotton candy, cupcakes, and bubble gum.
