Food for Thinkers: Wait, How Many Cooks Spoil the Broth?

Pictory founder Laura Brunow Miner faces her fears by luring 30 foodies out to a ranch in the middle of nowhere.

Laura Brunow Miner is an editor, designer, and photography lover in San Francisco. She founded Pictory and Phoot Camp, and was formerly editor of JPG Magazine. For Food for Thinkers week, she thought she should explain why she wants to hang out with 30 foodies in the forest.


Eat Retreat is a weekend workshop for leaders in the food community that will take place in Sonoma County from April 8–10, 2011. The cost will be between $200 and $400 and will include a lodging (in a real bed!) and meals. Applications can be completed online and are due by January 31, 2011.
