Goodbye

I’m really disappointed with you guys. I’ve bought 5-6 Good magazines at the newstand and was considering subscribing but the July/Aug 2007 issue is the last I will buy. With every issue you seem to get more left wing, environmentally wacko, and socialist. Here’s a news flash for you…there are millions of republican, conservative, evangelical christians out there that want to do “Good”; that want to be a part of more than just rampant consumerism and who realize we have an obligation as the most blessed and prosperous nation in the history of the world to try and help others. So WHY WHY WHY do you insult those who don’t think in lock step with your narrow view of the way things should be?? I first bought your magazine hoping that it would be somewhat “apolitical” and the first few times I read it I thought you were at least trying to some degree. But c’mon…..the story on veterans… almost univerally picking people who would not “want my child to join”; the glorification of government employees as some saving grace to societies ills; Mike Gavel the presidential candidate; and the “pro-life’s movement playing doctor”….you’re not about doing “Good”, you’re just another nut job left wing publication that will be a distant memory 3 years from now. Can you say “Air America” or Gore’s TV network?? What’s so sad is that you could do so much more “Good” by at least trying to see other’s point of view. That an unborn child is worth more than a few trees, that sincere, compassionate people think the best way to help others is not through governmental attempts to control more and more facets of their lives but by empowering them to do for themselves, that “freedom”doesn’t equate to living without moral standards but recognizing that self control is of value and one of the few things that makes us truly human. I’m truly sad as I write this. You had a great idea somewhere and you’ve wasted it with your narrowmindedness and arrogance.

Take care.
