When Volkswagen constructed a new plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee, it ended up with a huge collection of leftover shipping palettes that were used to bring in equipment. GOOD's friends at CreateHere have been helping with the Volkswagen Palette Project, a collaborative endeavor to distribute all that good wood to local artists, carpenters, gardeners, and crafters.
Since that video was made, palettes have been used for garden beds, a local sculpture class, and a handful of other worthy purposes. You can track the project here.
