The ReBurbia design challenge, Dwell and Inhabitat’s competition to re-purpose the McMansions of suburbia, has just wrapped up. The winning design imagines turning our cul de sacs into makeshift wildlife preserves that double as water treatment facilities. Very cool. All the winners and finalists are here.

Wow that sure blows mine out of the water, my designs involved firebombing 95% of wasteful, unsustainable suburbs in the U.S. and letting nature encroach gung ho on the scene.
