This was taken in Deerfield Beach, Florida. This was my favorite place to run in the morning and take a dip before work. This particular morning, there was a storm out in the ocean. The photo reminds me of the word "hope," coming out of the

Belle Isle—seen here overlooking Windsor, Canada (left), and Detroit, Michigan (right)—is one of my favorite places on earth. The Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory. Bike rides around the island in summer. Picnics under willow trees. It&rs

I took this photograph of a herd of bison, grazing within the southern portion of western North Dakota's Theodore Roosevelt National Park, a number of summers ago. The landscape and the bison are gorgeous and haunting.

The sunrise on Wilkinson Street is always unique. Light rays bounce in and out and through the trees in a way I've yet to find anywhere else in town.

Living for two years in South Dakota, I had to get used to loneliness. I would drive by this tree and field on my way out, and it would remind me of the power and significance of being alone, standing out, and being strong.

When you find that a city holds a great deal of significance for you, there's nothing better than seeking out one of the highest points, discovering a view, and watching things happen beneath you. Los Angeles is my significant city, and this Griff

I've always placed a high value on public resources such as parks—in this case, Griffith Park in Los Angeles, and its mesmerizing views of the rat race below. Relaxation, contemplation, revitalization.

I took this photo in Malibu, California, in 2009. Took an early morning drive down the Pacific Coast Highway and stopped to watch some surfers. I could have sat there forever watching them and checking out the mountains all along the coast. What I lov

Warm November day in Boulder, Colorado (2010). Hiking in the Flatirons with my dog, Suki. Used my iPhone4 (camera and app) to capture the view. Can't think of a better picture to illustrate the beauty I see daily in this town.

The sunset is always a beautiful sight, especially when it is viewed with family. My family travels a lot and this view was seen when visiting my brother at college. We are close-knit and love to explore the world together.
