Transparency: Is New Airport Security Causing Flight Delays?

The attempted bombing of Northwest flight 253 on Christmas Day has resulted in increased security procedures at airports around the country. Looking at the period from December 25 to January 6 this year and the previous year shows that, whether or not the new security is making us safer, it seems to be making us slower. This is a look at the increase in delays in major airports around the country.
