We've told you about web- and text-based ways to give money to Haiti (over $2 million has been raised by mobile users so far), and now the folks at TakePart-who are doing an excellent job covering the disaster-have put together a great comprehensive list of ways to donate (Thanks, Adriana!). So has Global Giving.From what I've been hearing and reading, a great choice besides the Red Cross is Paul Farmer's Partners in Health. If you don't know about PIH, I strongly recommend you pick up the excellent Mountains Beyond Mountains, but the short of it is that PIH has been building a network of hospitals and health professionals in Haiti for years, and while many organizations have a footprint in Port-au-Prince, PIH has people all over the country.As usual, the New York Times is providing mindbogglingly good and comprehensive coverage. You can find it all aggregated here. The most poignant story for me may be this: The presidential residence destroyed, Haitian President Rene Preval didn't know where he was going to sleep last night.
