There aren't many things that make me wish I was a 7 year old again, but this new project by Segway inventor Dean Kamen's nonprofit FIRST kind of gave me the itch: Thanks to a new partnership with MIT, the organization hopes to inspire K-12 kids to pursue science, technology, and engineering through...an afterschool robotics program. If that doesn't get kids excited, what will?FIRST has already seen some success in this arena, and if this pilot proves successful and popular among kids (a no-brainer), they plan to expand the program globally.Image via
