BLDGBLOG just posted a number of beautiful photos from Library of Dust, David Maisel's forthcoming photography book, for which Geoff Manaugh wrote an introduction. The photos-such as the ones of canisters used to house the remains of cremated patients-are hauntingly beautiful, and they illustrate a creepy world that few of us would desire to enter. Manaugh includes his essay in the post, which is long but certainly worth a read.
