For most of us, the yearly itch to get organized usually starts around the same time we shed our scarves and wool jackets. Now that spring has officially arrived, why not put your inner clean freak to work in your neighborhood? This month’s 30-Day Challenge is Clean Up Your Act, and to help your community greet the new season in ship-shape form, we’re offering a $500 grant to an individual or organization with a plan to make their city a prettier place. Consider organizing a beach cleanup or a recycling drive with a creative twist. Perhaps you’ll give a fresh coat of paint to a nearby elementary school, or plant new trees and flowers at the local senior center. Share your best idea with us here, and the entry that receives the most votes will claim the grant and the bragging rights.
Submit a proposal between April 2 and April 23 (noon Pacific Time). From April 23-30, we’ll open it up to public voting. Rally your colleagues and friends to get behind your effort and join the GOOD community in selecting the top three grant winners.
