Journalist Storms Off Set On Live TV After Hosts Won't Discuss Homophobia In Orlando Shooting

“… an instinctive reaction to an unpleasant and untenable situation.”

Last night, journalist Owen Jones stormed off the set of a live news segment during the discussion of the recent tragic shootings in Orlando. While appearing on the British news program “Sky News Sunday,” Jones became frustrated by the hosts’ insistence to refer to the horrific events as a crime against humanity (as opposed to one rooted in homophobia).


He later explained to the Guardian that his sudden departure was “an instinctive reaction to an unpleasant and untenable situation.”
