Let My People Go...To The Movies

A recent piece from our magazine looked at new biblical theme parks and action figures and the confluence of pop entertainment and proselytizing.

This new animated movie, The Ten Commandments, is in the same vein. Despite the voice talents–and star power–of Christian Slater, Ben Kingsley and Alfred Molina, it was released with little fanfare last week.

Incidentally, if you want fanfare, visit the movie's website where you'll be greeted with rousing timpani, clarion horns and a synth choir.
