Taking an overview of all bike accidents, including solo bike crashes, bikers bear the most responsibility. Cars are a close second.

Ridership has increased nearly 60 percent in the last four years in San Francisco, and with that increase there's been a rise in accidents (only one of which, notes the report, was between a cyclist and a horse-drawn carriage).

The biggest cause of cycling accidents in San Francisco? Cyclists pedaling too fast.
