Politicians, as you're probably well aware, are notoriously perfidious. So long as there have been elections, there have been campaign promises, many of which are broken, fudged, or forgotten once a candidate lands a spot in office. However, for some reason, many of us expect President Obama to buck that trend and preside over the country as a paragon of integrity and good faith. But will he?PolitiFact's new Obameter keeps track of the of the 500 or so promises Obama made while campaigning and rates them as either "No Action," "In the Works," "Stalled," "Promise Kept," "Compromise," or "Promise Broken." So far, he has kept seven promises, has stalled on one, has 14 in the works, and has taken no action on 488. At this rate, he'd have just about all of them in the works within the first 100 days. Way to keep him honest, Politifact. Thanks, Atley.
