It was a special performance for a special teacher.
Every year the school choir at PS22 in Staten Island, New York sings a special song with their director on the last practice of the year. This time they dedicated it to one of their favorite teachers, Adriana Lopez, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. The students sang a stirring rendition of Martina McBride’s “I’m Gonna Love You Through It.” After the performance, the tearful Lopez told the students that “it’s not easy, but I will get through it because I have wonderful friends in this school.”
