Last week we showed you some of the finalists in the Studio-X and PRE-Office design challenge, who were asked to come up with creative ways to help the Haitian rebuilding effort. Well, last night the winner was selected and congratulations are in order to Trevor Watson from Brooklyn, whose submission depicts the deployment of color-coded weather balloons to serve as signs for the temporary locations of emergency services and institutions. It's a creative and nicely thought out example of a stop-gap that could be effective, cheap to implement, and useful.Stay tuned for the next one, and thanks to all who participated.
