Jeon Hwan Ju has created a daft new way to reduce the environmental impact of your morning cup-or, in my case, pot-of joe: by turning the grounds into ink. Ju's RITI Coffee Printer, which is one of the 50 innovative creations being showcased at Core 77's Greener Gadgets Competition, looks sleek and clever (if a bit labor intensive). And it's certainly better for the earth (and, maybe, your wallet) than traditional cartridges. Here are the instructions for use:1. Insert a paper in the middle of the printer2. Put the coffee or tea dregs into the ink case on the top of the printer3. Move the ink case left and right as you draw on a paper4. When the print finishes, pull out the paper from the printer and wash the ink caseVia Inhabitat.
