Teague's New Concept Bike: Pulse

I don't know if this is the first of its kind or anything, but Teague's new concept bike, Pulse, is pretty alluring. The main section of the frame illuminates when needed, the handlebars boast electronic turn signals, and the caged pedals are counter-weighted so as to always remain upright. In terms of knock-your-socks-off beauty, Pulse doesn't strike me as quite on the level of a classic fixie-which, along with a cafe-racer motorcycle, was the inspiration for the bike. But I do find it compelling that the designers take a safety feature (light/visibility) and turn it into something flashy. In so doing, it nicely unifies the generally separate components of lights/reflectors and frame, thereby affording the bike a simple elegance. What remains to be seen is whether any of us can afford it.

What do you think of the design?More pictures can be seen here. Via Core77.
