The New York City Transit Museum is currently featuring a great exhibit called The Future Beneath Us, showing some of the massive infrastructure projects currently underway in New York, like building a new water pipeline and an entirely new subway line down Second Avenue. Luckily, for those not in New York, or with no time to make it to the Transit Museum, much of the exhibit is online, and features some history and information about the projects plus really breathtaking pictures of construction at work.
