Mail Carrier’s Facebook Plea Turns Into an International Book Drive

He couldn’t afford to go to the library, so the library came to him.

Matthew Flores is not what we’ve come to expect from 12-year-old boys in the 21st century—he actually enjoys reading. When mail carrier Ron Lynch found him with a handful of ad mail at the Sandy Post Office in Utah, he decided to take to Facebook to help him out. Lynch expected a few of his Facebook friends to donate some of their unwanted books, but what happened far surpassed anything he or Matthew dreamed of.
