Before we kick off this epic Edge of Progress road trip, I wanted to give you guys a glimpse of what’s to come. With GOOD’s Deputy Editor Morgan Clendaniel as my co-pilot, I’ll be driving cross-country and meeting up with some awesome people along the way. I’ll be interviewing innovators—game-changing visionaries who are pioneers in their fields—in New York, Chicago, Austin, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Throughout the trip, I’ll be blogging, tweeting (@edgeofprogress), and posting videos of gut-busting diner food, roadside attractions, and America’s most glamorous rest stops.
This is where I need your help, good people of GOOD. Check out our route map. Know where to find the best barbecue in West Texas? Think it’s imperative I visit Missouri’s largest ball of tin foil? Familiar with of one of America’s most glamorous rest stops? Don’t hold out on me here. Leave a comment, or hit me up on Twitter.
And who am I, you ask? I’m a writer, director, and producer living in Brooklyn. I made some videos for GOOD, and I made some videos for other people as well. I have strong feelings about cars. I’m originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, so this trip is a homecoming of sorts for me. Nothing gets me excited like great food, new places, and a good bargain. I really am an excellent driver (zero moving violations, just one unpaid parking ticket), and I could not be more excited to drive across this great little country I call home.
