Barney Frank Makes a Great Point About Showering with Gay People

You've probably heard: Today, President Obama signed a repeal of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy. One thing about the repeal that has people at CNS News worried is that it means openly gay soldiers would be showering alongside straight soldiers. Won't gay soldiers be awkwardly turned on? Won't straight soldiers feel awkwardly exposed?

In this interview, a CNS reporter puts that argument to Barney Frank, who pretty convincingly dismantles it by pointing out that 1) gay and straight people already shower together in gyms everywhere and 2) keeping "don't ask, don't tell" in place wouldn't get rid of gay soldiers—it would only leave uncomfortable straight soldiers more confused about who exactly they should avoid showering with.
