Both presidential candidates have plans to address illegal immigration into the United States. These numbers show how many people are immigrating, where they are coming from, and why coming illegally might seem like an attractive option.

A nation with no borders has already fallen. We allow them to vote, and wonder about a gov’t that panders to them. Come to Santa Ana, California! Such a lovely Mexican town! Yes, Anglo congresswoman Sanchez, the Democrat organization League of Women voters counted more votes to you, than to former congressman Dornan. You had 725 illegal aliens cast ballots to get you elected, and it stands.  We were are not allowed to see if a voter can legally vote or not. Democrats routinely sign up non-citizens and others who legally can’t vote.  …sigh, on and on it goes, as La Raza states it, they will take us one house at a time.

I thought it would have been useful to present the % of the population represented by the absolute number of U.S. Immigrants residing in each state.

very informative graphic. so glad to have found this. there are not that many good visualization of the process and immigration overall. i would suggest showing an end or an estimate tally of total application fees cost. i think it’d be useful for readers to see that figure compared to the “cost to be smuggled” factoid, especially when the premise is “why coming illegally might seem like an attractive option”.

We are a country of immigrants, not one of us can deny ourselves, that.

Are the fees you give the new higher fees? Look low to me, after just helping someone bring their parents in. PLUS there are costs for acquiring the notarized documents required [birth cert,, marriage cert., death cert, divorce cert, letter from police, school cert., vaccination cert, health cert., health exams, visas, passports, photos] PLUS all of these have to be translated into English by competent translators.

The prognosis for health care in America isn't positive. Many people are uninsured and many more lack the level of care they need. Collectively, we cough up trillions to keep citizens well, but our health indicators lag behind other nations that spend far less. Here is a detailed diagnosis of the problem.
