In an undergrad class on literature, film and adaptation on Friday, I got some students to adapt a news report of the Hudson crash into a storyboard for a film. One group decided to make a really sweet narrative which drew a parallel between an overworked and stressed-out commuter & one of the birds that would’ve died in the bird strike. The bird’s tranquil existence (up until the bird strike) was contrasted with the commuter’s hectic lifestyle, making it into a short film for climate change advocacy. Someone should make this!
