The Great Electric Vehicle Race: San Francisco Versus Portland

  • Posted by: Andrew Price

Awesome. This feud between San Francisco and Portland over electric car infrastructure bragging rights (mentioned earlier on GOOD here) has turned semi-official. And the energy blog Gas2.0 has set up a new website, The Great Electric Vehicle Race, to keep score. Here’s the promo video:

Their attempts at trash-talking are hilariously diplomatic, but Gavin gets into it a little when he says “We’re going after Portland, enough of Portland.” Maybe there should be some tangible prize on the line. Winner gets to annex Redding, California?

Anyway, the site has a bunch of resources to help get your community involved as well, if you happen to live in a city that’s not San Francisco or Portland, and it’s all pretty fun.
