When We’re 64

Slate’s “Pensioner’s Playlist” charts the 25 greatest songs about aging and mortality. From Jimmy Durante’s “Young at Heart” to Willie Nelson’s “September Song” to LCD Soundsystem’s “Losing My Edge,” it’s a pretty solid collection—and you can listen to a number of the tracks on the page.

The Beatles’ song from which we lifted this headline, however, didn’t make the cut. Sorry, Paul.

How about “Not Dark Yet” by Bob Dylan? That should be top 25 for sure.

If it’s good enough for the headline, good enough to mention, then it’s good enough for the list. Don’t be so smug. That said…. good list and idea. Thanx
