He’s also posting some amazing pics of the Obama years in the White House.

Former White House photographer Pete Souza has attracted over 1.8 million followers on Instagram for his beautiful, candid photos of Barack Obama and his family during his time in the Oval Office. And since Donald Trump has taken over the White House, Souza has turned his attention to needling him by contrasting his behavior with Obama’s.

Through Trump’ s early time in office, Souza has taken digs at him for attempting to repeal Obama’s signature health care act. He’s highlighted Barack and Michelle’s relationship at a time when the Trumps couldn’t even hold hands. Souza also made note of Obama’s respect for women after Trump called “Morning Joe” host Mika Brzezinski “low I.Q.” and made the outlandish claim he saw her at a party bleeding from a facelift.

On March 31, 2018, Souza was back at it again. He began with a series of photos that contrast Obama’s tenure with Trump’s. And he called out Trump for bashing California Gov. Jerry Brown by calling him “Moonbeam” with a shot of Obama marveling at the moon.

“A beaming moon in Colorado, not a moonbeam in California.”

On Easter, Souza shared a funny photo of Obama and the Easter bunny singing the national anthem by the Washington Monument. In his comment, Souza alluded to a rumor that Trump may not know all the words to the song.

“Listening to the National Anthem at the annual Easter Egg Roll. They both knew the words.”

Also on April 1, Souza posted a shot of Obama hosting a movie night in the White House theater. In his comment, he took a jab at Trump for starting a war with Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.

“From page 423 in my book: ‘Random White House visitors were often brought to the Family Theater, where they would be hypnotized and forced to wear special 3D glasses. So when the President walked in, he would appear to them in 4D and say, ‘when ordering online, please use Amazon exclusively so we can piss off the next president.’”

On April 2, Souza shared a photo of an Obama-era egg hunt while referencing Trump’s latest anti-immigrant tweet-a-thon.

“In 2015, caravans of people from the southern border flooded onto the 18 acres surrounding the White House seeking the golden egg at the Easter Egg Roll. (Fortunately, Congress invoked the Nuclear Option and the caravans of people were sent back home to Virginia.)”

Souza also shared a photo of Obama doing some flashy tennis moves.

“Easter Egg Roll, 2011. Not sure if other Presidents show off like this.”

On April 3, Souza made light of Trump’s embarrassingly low White House employee retention rate.

“Apparently the Easter Bunny got fired yesterday and no one even noticed.”

Souza also called out the Trump administration for its stunning lack of diversity.

“We used to call it The White House (white is the color of snow too!)”

Souza rounded out those posts by giving credit to the White House staff while referencing Trump’s strange “tippy top” statement.

“And the reason it’s in tippy top shape is because of the permanent White House staff.”
