During the group's halftime performance of their Grammy nominated anti-war anthem "Where Is the Love?," Peas front man will.i.am deliberately switched up some of the lyrics and sang,
"In America we need to get things straight / Obama, let’s get these kids educated / Create jobs so the country stays stimulated."

One admirable thing about The Black Eyed Peas is how they use their popularity to consistently call for social action. Whether or not you're a fan of their music—or the overall halftime performance—this is probably the first ever reference to education reform during a Super Bowl halftime show.
