I like Mos Def, but his answer shows a lot of idealistic ignorance. The question he is really answering is what would you do if you were King of America, because he presumes to exercise powers far beyond the lawful powers of the presidency. He would not be the first, he may be the most benevolent, but what he describes is still tyranny. It also shows absolute ignorance of the fundamentals of law, taxation, economics and human nature.  The president must work within the letter and spirit of our constitution to protect the freedom of each individual or he is just another King, or in America a tyrannical outlaw. This describes most presidents and unfortunately would apply to Mos Def also.

I nominate Mos Def for Secretary for Health and Human Services in the Obama administration – who should fill out his cabinet?

@Umn His answer also presumes you have a sense of humor. Did you actually think he was being serious about all that? C’mon.

Can we PLEASE get one of these from UK rapper Dylan “Dizzee Rascal” Mills. Anyone who saw his recent post-election interview on the BBC’s Newsnight (where he was roundly patronised by old hat presenter Jeremy Paxman) would agree with me.It was totally inspiring. Please do it.

The only good idea he had in that whole ramble was the flat tax. Give the government less. That way they have less to blow.
