Sex. Ass. Falun gong. Chances are, if you’re reading this right now, you don’t live in Yemen, Myanmar, or China. Internet censorship can take many forms, from restricting private internet access to blocking searches for politically volatile keywords. Exercise your internet freedom by taking a look at our latest Transparency.

This is ridiculous!  Why has no one else written anything?  Is everyone ok with this?  Technology is perhaps the most important tool to bring the world`s people together, filters and bans like this are extremely detrimental to peaceful and sustainable progress!

First off, thank you for this video.  I knew a bit about censorship, but this brought more countries into the dialogue.Second (and the reason for the comment), is it possible to slow these videos down by 5%? Its super hard to keep up with
the rapid dialogue and firehose ‘o facts! (It’s fair to say that I’d share this type of
movie so much more if I thought audiences (eg. my parents) could keep
up.)Anyone agree?  Am I really that out-of-touch / mentally slow?

“france and germany filter sites that contain holocaust” are you
serious dude? this is not the third reich anymore. the german
government filters precisely nothing. IF anyone blocks servers with
doubtable websites that would be the providers. but even blocking porn
sites outrages users to such an extend that no major provider has the
guts to do THAT anymore. better read that up before publishing this
kinda stuff. using google in germany it returns 1540000 results for
    “holocaust” on german websites.

I believe it says, “France and Germany filter sites that deny the Holocaust.”

My first thought was “wow – I’m glad I’m here in America!”My next thought was “wow – American corporations like Microsoft, Google, and Yahoo are providing the tools that oppresive regimes use to suppress freedom around the world.”I support freedom. I do not support dictatorships. No more Microsoft, Google, or Yahoo for me.

maybe you mean internet need regulamentation….in that point I agree…I think technology can help us to stop child or sensible people entering in certain websites so not to be hurt. But hope you agree that adults willing to express themselves have the total right to do it on the internet. check this: http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?topic=6983&post=31643&uid=42420648943#/group.php?gid=42420648943

Child Porn should be censored at least. More and more sick people are out there looking at the stuff and it is not morally right. If millions can look at child porn, how many turn into sex offender.

Have you people been living under a rock?Internet censorship is a long debated and long covered subject in the news as well. It’s nothing new, and if you search around you can see that a lot of governments, especially in the east, are censoring out search results and banning whole networks (not only pages). That is what you get when we all live in a financial society, since in the end it is ALL about the money.
