Rethinking High School

Just 10 years ago, Locke High School in Los Angeles was a "dropout factory," overrun by gangs. Then Green Dot Public Schools took over and reopened Locke as a campus of small charter schools with high expectations. Now, Locke's graduation rate is double the average for the Los Angeles Unified School District, and a cohort of young Angelenos can look forward to a future of greater opportunity.
