Here are some interesting thoughts on whether sustainable practices in business have reached some sort of watershed moment. The author, Gil Friend, cites several examples and argues that there are more sustainable decisions being made by big business than ever before. Whether this means that big business is on their way to a new, environmentally friendly incarnation remains to be seen. The recent rash of helpful choices corporations have been making could just as easily be a way to get people to stop complaining. Secondary question: Both the articles linked above use the phrase “tipping point� in their titles. Is there a time when the phrase tipping point is used so often in so many disparate contexts that it stops having any meaning whatsoever? And, has that time just about come?
