Infographic: How Your Diet Affects the Planet
WWF and GOOD collaborated to produce infographics that dig down into some of the details in WWF's 2010 Living Planet Report. The one above shows how many Earths' worth of resources the world's population would consume if we all ate a Italian, Malaysian, or American diet. Another piece, below, shows the changes in the ecological footprint of high-, middle-, and low-income countries, as compared to their Living Planet Index scores, which measure biodiversity. While richer countries are using more resources, it seems to be mostly affecting poorer countries.
You can see both infographics larger and download them at WWF's website, as well as play around with some fun interactive pieces on the Living Planet Index, ecological footprints, and water footprints Stay tuned for another piece from us and WWF in the coming weeks.
