Finally, a Memorable Valedictorian Speech

It's not very "street," but Doniphan West High School's Alaine Caudle gave an fun valedictorian rap instead of a boring speech.

It's high school graduation season, and that means valedictorians are all over the country are giving forgettable speeches. But that wasn't the case at Doniphan West High School in Highland, Kansas.

"If Rebecca Black can sing, so can I," declared Alaine Caudle, Doniphan West's valedictorian, right before launching into an epic song/rap with lyrics like this first verse:

My name's Alaine
I got a big brain
That's why I'm your
Valedictorian
Class of eleven
Lookin' like heaven
Cooler than everyone
Hotter than a hot dog bun

And this sing-along chorus

All eyes on us when we walk in
This is the class of eleven
Don't hate us cause we're awesome
Don't hate us cause we're awesome
Our walk, our talk, the way we dress
It's not our fault so please don't stress
Don't hate us cause we're awesome
Don't hate us cause we're awesome

Now do the graduation rock, rock, rock
Do the graduation rock, rock, rock
Do the graduation rock, rock, rock
All my classmates do the graduation rock, rock, rock

We have to hand it to Caudle. One, she's probably a better live singer than Rebecca Black, and two, she made a catchy, celebratory song that her classmates will probably still remember at their 20th reunion.
