If you knew nothing about Japan, this 12-minute video might be a good primer. It's by the Japanese artist and designer Kenichi Tanaka and-while it seems to me to overemphasize the negative in places-it's an excellent work of animated information.[vimeo][/vimeo]Takana describes the project: "My objective is to make Japanese people to think about that [sic] everything happening here in Japan... So I created this video from foreigner's point of view, rather than Japanese people's point of view."UPDATE: I mistakenly embedded the Japanese version of the video. It's been replaced with the English version and the spelling of the artist's name has been corrected.Via Fast Company
