One of our Jan./Feb. Big Thinkers, Larry Lessig, has a couple of big ideas. First, an initiative: the "Change Congress" project. And then second, perhaps the best way to institute that change: an inspired run for a seat in that Congress.
Though he has yet to kick off an official campaign, the intellectual property guru and Stanford law professor's "Lessig '08" website says that he'll float the notion and solicit feedback for a week or two before making a concrete decision.
