Montana Governor Vetoes Anti-Environment Bills with a Branding Iron

And why not? Joe Manchin shot a copy of the cap and trade bill with a rifle.

In the video above, Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer uses a branding iron to veto a handful of environmentally damaging state laws that were passed by the Republican legislature. And why not? Joe Manchin shot a copy of the cap and trade bill with a rifle.


I like that Schweitzer is vetoing these laws, and doing so proudly and publicly, but I guess I'm a little nervous about the idea that physically destroying legislation makes sense as an expression of opposition. It's only a matter of time before Palin launches a Patriot Guided Missile at the Affordable Care Act or something.
