The CIA’s legendary Project Blue Book is now fully declassified and available to read online. An official investigation by the CIA into the existence of UFOs, aliens and all the other eerie stuff that The X-Files is made of, Project Blue Book, also known as Project Sign and Project Grudge, existed from the late 1940s through 1967. Read all of its 140,000 pages and more than 10,000 case files on UFO enthusiast John Greenewald’s website The Black Vault.

El Paso TX 1949: “Observers sighted a cigar shaped object. It looked like white smoke. It was moving to the West. The object turned horizontally, elongated, and disintegrated.”
VERDICT: Cloud
Roswell NM 1950: “An unidentified aerial object was sighted at 2145 hours MTS on 12 May 1952, about 40 miles west of Roswell New Mexico. The object was blue-green in color and its estimated altitude above the terrain was 30,000 to 40,000 feet. The object traveled three times over approximately the same triangular course. Rate of speed could not be precisely estimated but was faster than jet aircraft. Intensity of color brightness varied with the object’s altitude.
This sighting is similar to many which has recently been noted in the press, and which have been subject of investigation by USAF.”
