“A Prius On Steroids”

  • Posted by: Andrew Price

Detroit has been ridiculously slow to pick up on people’s desire for fuel-efficient cars. So it’s up to mad scientists like Johnathan Goodwin and his Wichita, Kansas, workshop to innovate. Goodwin is building a biodiesel-electric hybrid Hummer that’ll have 600hp and get 60 miles to the gallon.

How does this Frankenstein’s Hummer work? It uses a 1985-issue jet turbine to charge “supercapacitor” batteries so it’s electric engine can pull off incredible feats of strength over and over.

He’s starting to get a reputation. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Neil Young have ordered mods for their cars and yeah, even Detroit is starting to notice.

Here’s the story.

Could it be that Detroit sees the 300 pound Garilla in the room? Americans want two things the Electric Car doesent do FAST and CHEAP they dont trust either can be deliverd hell they still walk on a showroom floor and ask for V8’s if you think otherwise hang out at your local dealer for a while . Detroit is selling not force feeding.
