From buying airtime to printing those indispensable bumper stickers, running for president is expensive. The candidates need to stick up whoever they can for cash. In this original GOOD Video we look at where the presidential hopefuls are getting their money, and the record-breaking totals.

It sickens me that elections cost an increasingly high amount of money! we need to “fix” campaign finance, clean elections now! campaign finance reform now! give candadates free air time for advertising -equal amount of air time,a cap on spending- equally between candadates.

I must agree! Candidates receive way too much money, and most of it could not possibly be used for campaigning, even though the law states that it is required for such, and only to represent their office. I believe that all candidates should receive a fair amount of air time at no cost, and equal amount of money for advertising purposes. It never was like this. Our forefathers never had to pay a dime for their campaigns. We never see how much money they spent, yet their campaigns went well. We need to create an equal opportunity for all candidates no matter what the office. It’s time for change, and this one of them.James R.
